Lace Journal

I received some inspiration from a fellow crafter to make a lace journal to carry my laces to a crop and for gifting laces to friends.  I wanted to share it with you.  If you should wish to make one, my inspiration came from a YouTube here: http://youtu.be/ezjB71yw0fE.

Spring Has Sprung

Hello again from my home to yours...

This NSD will be my second year of scrapbooking and I would like to say thank you to my bestie, Maria Garzon.  She has inspired me to go above and beyond to do the style of things that I do now. (((HUGS))) to Maria!!

I have been doing several projects that I would like to share with you.

Canvas has become one of my best friends these past few months.  My son became engaged at Christmas to a marvelous young woman,so for their engagement, I made them a  Canvas Corp layout.  It turned out more than beautiful... and here it is:

I have also done one free-hand for a Facebook friend that just married her soul - mate:

I have also been doing some altered boxes for my daughter and I.  I have just received a shipment of Graphic 45 and thought that I would make an altered box with some of it...
and then I had some paper from a crop that I went to and did this box for my daughter:

I do hope that you enjoy my projects..

Winter Works...

Hello Hello Hello... Winter has come in full force (hey - it gets cold in CA) so I have been doing lots of crafts and scrapbooking.

We have started a traveling crop between my besties and myself.   We have had a crop at my home and will be traveling to another scrapbookers home on Saturday.. They will be once a month going from home to home.  I so enjoyed the crop at my house as my husband cooked dinner for a few and the rest of us ate Mexican food at the restaurant on the corner.

I have done a couple of altered things that I would like to share with you today.  These are gifts that I will be giving away.  It seems that everything that I make - I give away, but that is the fun in creating.

My niece got married in November (11-11-11) so as one of her wedding gifts, I made an altered frame for her.  I had a very difficult time trying to get the flower just right. Still am working on it, but wanted to share it.

The next project that I would to share with you is my son and his Fiance's canvas that I did.  I had been wanting to try a canvas layout, and now I know that I LOVE THEM!!

Thank you for stopping by... I do hope that you will leave a comment.  God Bless you always!!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year 2012

My has it been that long since I have updated my blog... *sigh* too much to do and too little time... LOL :)

I worked very hard on all of my Christmas presents this year... and I would like to share some of them to you.

This I made for my son's father as a door hanger...yes I got the idea from Pinterest..They have some wonderful projects that you can make.

This is an altered tray that I made for my niece.  It is my first, so please do not look too closely.  I used Graphic 45 as my selection of paper.

This is a recipe that I made for my son's SO.  We are taking pictures of the things that  have recipe cards as we make them while they are here, and then will scrapbook them into this album.  I do hope that she likes it.  Again I used Graphic 45 for my paper selection.

This is my Soldier's deployment album of pictures of his SO, and of course one of his dawg (a spelling that my son uses), Bailey.  This was a kit that I used and altered it a bit to work for me.

I do hope that you will leave a comment as I really enjoy the feedback as well as your suggestions.

May you have a prosperous, healthy and joyful 2012...My blessings to all of you...

Karen
